Brunei Influencer Woodyrman Admits to Assaulting Man to Death While Drunk

A social media influencer from Brunei, identified as Mohamad Irman Ali, 33, also known as Woodyrman, has been named a suspect in a fatal assault case in Jakarta. Police report that the incident occurred on May 6, with the victim, MHF, 30, passing away on May 16 after weeks in intensive care.

The perpetrator stated he was under the influence of alcoholic beverages or hard liquor.

According to police, the altercation began with a verbal dispute and a physical push between the influencer and the victim. During the confrontation, Woodyrman was reportedly carrying a bag containing a glass bottle. When he struck the victim, the bottle also hit the victim's head, causing him to fall onto the sidewalk.

Woodyrman has stated that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. He is currently being investigated under Articles 466 and 468 of Indonesia's new Criminal Code (KUHP), which deal with assault resulting in death. The motive for the assault is still under investigation, though initial findings suggest a personal issue between the two individuals, as they knew each other.

The victim later experienced a coma and his condition worsened, so on May 16, 2026, the victim was declared dead.

The victim was initially treated at RSPP Jakarta Selatan, where he fell into a coma and his condition deteriorated, ultimately leading to his death. Police are continuing their investigation to fully understand the circumstances and motivations behind the assault.
