Brymo admits to having relationships with married women

Nigerian singer Olawale Ashimi, widely known as Brymo, has made candid revelations about his past relationships, including affairs with married women during the early stages of his music career. He shared these experiences on a YouTube podcast, using them as a basis to caution younger artists against similar entanglements.

He recounted a specific incident where he was invited to perform at a married woman's home. Initially agreeing, he became uncomfortable when she revealed her husband would also be present. "She said, ‘Our baba will be there.’ I thought she meant her father, but she said, ‘No, my husband,’" Brymo explained. "As far as I’m concerned, me going there to perform that night is me opening myself up for some crazy ritual. I just couldn’t take it, so I had to get out."

Brymo also brought up a controversial alleged encounter from 2019 involving music icon 2Baba and his wife, Annie Idibia. Brymo claimed that 2Baba directly asked Annie in front of him whether she had ever been sexually involved with Brymo.
