BTS's 'ARIRANG' hits record 8th No. 1 on Spotify weekly chart

Global music sensation BTS has solidified its international standing with their album 'ARIRANG,' which has now claimed the top spot on Spotify's weekly global album chart for an unprecedented eighth time. This achievement marks a new record for the most No. 1 positions on the chart within a single year, surpassing the previous record held by global pop artist Bad Bunny.

The latest 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart, covering May 29 to June 4, saw 'ARIRANG' ascend to the summit. The album's lead single, 'SWIM,' continues to resonate with listeners, maintaining its fourth position on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart. Furthermore, all twelve tracks from the new album have successfully remained on the charts for an impressive eleven consecutive weeks, underscoring the project's broad appeal.

Beyond Spotify, 'ARIRANG' has demonstrated remarkable resilience and global reach on the UK Official Charts. Climbing five places from the previous week, the album secured the 33rd position on the 'Official Albums Top 100' for the week of June 5-11. It also performed strongly in specific UK charts, ranking 24th in 'Official Album Sales' and 'Official Physical Albums,' and 30th in 'Scottish Albums.' The 'Official Albums Streaming' chart saw a significant jump of 16 places to 34th, while 'Official Vinyl Albums' reached 40th.

BTS's continued success is also evident across European and Oceania charts. In Germany, 'ARIRANG' has held a position within the 'Top 10 Albums' for eleven consecutive weeks, currently sitting at sixth place on the official music chart dated June 5. Australia's ARIA charts also reflect the album's popularity, with 'ARIRANG' rising two spots to sixth on the 'Top 50 Albums' (June 1) and climbing five places to eleventh on the 'Top 20 Vinyl Albums.' The group is currently embarking on their 'ARIRANG' world tour, with upcoming performances in Busan on June 12 and 13.
