BUA Cement Graduates 60 Operators, Offers Automatic Jobs

Leading cement manufacturer BUA Cement PLC has graduated 60 youths trained as Heavy Duty Machine Operators at its Sokoto plant. Fifty-two of these graduates have been offered automatic employment by the company, highlighting BUA's commitment to empowering its host communities and addressing youth unemployment in the region.

The graduation ceremony, held in Sokoto, marked the completion of a rigorous six-month technical training program. According to Engr. Muhammad Haliru Binji, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of BUA Cement, who was represented by Plant Director Engr. Aminu Bashir, the program was designed to equip young individuals with practical skills essential for operating and maintaining the heavy-duty equipment used in cement production and mining operations.

This initiative is a key component of BUA Cement's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive. By investing in the skills development of local youth, the company aims to foster economic growth and provide sustainable employment opportunities within the communities where it operates. The automatic employment offered to a majority of the graduates underscores the company's confidence in their acquired skills and its dedication to building a skilled local workforce.
