Bulgaria Braces for Intense Heatwave With Orange Alert in Four Regions

Bulgaria is set for a day of sunshine and intense heat, with temperatures expected to soar across the nation. The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued warnings for dangerous heat levels in several areas.

Four provinces have been placed under an orange code, signifying very dangerous heat conditions. These include Pleven, Vratsa, Montana, and Blagoevgrad. Residents in these regions are advised to take extreme precautions against the high temperatures.

Additionally, a yellow code has been declared for most other inland regions of the country. While less severe than the orange alert, this code still indicates significant heat that requires attention and preventative measures. Coastal areas are not included in these warnings and are expected to experience more moderate temperatures.

The prevailing maximum temperatures are anticipated to be high, underscoring the need for hydration and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
