Bupa Ecuador presents insurance adapted for Ecuadorian families

Bupa Ecuador, a prominent international health care company, has introduced its latest suite of health insurance plans designed specifically for Ecuadorian families. The new offering, named Bupa Cuidado Total, aims to provide a comprehensive, flexible, preventive, and digital solution that addresses the current needs of individuals and families in Ecuador.

Bupa Cuidado Total represents an evolution of the company's previous plans, such as MiBupa, and is positioned as a complete offering within Bupa Ecuador's portfolio. The new range encompasses both ambulatory and hospital coverage. It also extends to care for maternity complications, neonatal screening, mental health services, comprehensive cancer treatment, dialysis, transplants, and medication. Furthermore, the plans include preventive services and access to a network of over 400 healthcare providers across Ecuador.

A significant feature of the new offering is the integration of extensive digital health benefits, accessible via Blua and the Mi Bupa Latinoamérica app. These digital tools are designed to streamline the healthcare experience. Ricardo Arango Pezet, executive director of Bupa Global Latin America, stated, "Our purpose at Bupa is to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives."

The new model presents three distinct plans: Cuidado Total, Cuidado Total Plus, and Cuidado Total Premium. Each plan is structured to cater to different medical requirements and financial capacities. Notably, the Cuidado Total Premium plan extends coverage to Spain, including access to high-tier institutions like the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, and the Sanitas network hospitals.

Digital health is central to the user experience. Through Blua, insured individuals can access 24/7 video consultations for general medicine, services for dependents under 18, health programs, nutritional and mental health guidance, chronic disease management, and vital sign monitoring via selfie-style video. These services are provided at no additional cost and can be managed through the Mi Bupa Latinoamérica app from anywhere in the world. The app also facilitates policy management, reimbursement requests, digital ID access, provider searches, payments, and inquiries.
