Burglar Dies of Heart Attack During Ipoh Break-in

A burglary suspect died from a heart attack while attempting to break into a house in Ipoh, Malaysia. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on July 28 in the Taman Star neighborhood.

According to Perak police chief Commissioner Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin, the 40-year-old suspect was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. He and an accomplice had entered the residence by prying open a window. A struggle then broke out between the suspects and the caretaker of the house.

One suspect managed to flee the scene, while the other collapsed and was found unconscious before being declared dead on site. A subsequent post-mortem examination confirmed that the suspect died due to a blocked heart artery.

The suspect's death has been classified as a sudden death case. The break-in itself is being investigated under Sections 457 and 324 of the Penal Code, pertaining to housebreaking and causing hurt with a weapon. Police are actively searching for the accomplice who remains at large.
