Bus and car collide on wet road in Gangneung; 4 seriously injured after bus overturns

A collision between a 25-seat bus and a passenger car on a rain-slicked road in Gangneung, South Korea, resulted in six people sustaining injuries, with four suffering serious harm. The accident occurred around 8:02 AM on the 18th in Seokgyo-ri, Sacheon-myeon.

The impact of the crash caused the bus to overturn onto its side, while the front of the passenger car was severely damaged. The bus was carrying 12 passengers at the time of the incident. The two occupants of the car, including the driver, managed to escape the vehicle on their own and sustained minor injuries.

Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after the report, establishing an emergency medical station within three minutes. A total of 12 pieces of equipment and 43 personnel were deployed to conduct rescue operations, provide emergency treatment, and classify the patients. The exact cause and extent of the damage are currently under investigation by the police and fire authorities.
