Bus services to replace trains between Ringsted and Nyborg during Great Belt track upgrades

Train passengers traveling between Ringsted and Nyborg will need to use bus services this weekend and into the following week. Sund & Bælt, the company responsible for the Great Belt Bridge, is undertaking essential track maintenance that will disrupt rail traffic.

From July 11 to July 20, bus replacements will be in operation. This measure is necessary as Sund & Bælt will be replacing eight worn-out track switches between Korsør and Nyborg. The company states this is part of its ongoing upgrade program to ensure the railway's continued functionality.

The work is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the rail infrastructure over the Great Belt. The worn switches require replacement after years of use, highlighting the continuous need for investment in the country's transportation network.
