Business delegation from North Al Batinah explores investment opportunities in Egypt

A business delegation from Oman's North Al Batinah Governorate has concluded a visit to Egypt, seeking to deepen investment and commercial cooperation between the two countries. The Omani Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) branch in North Al Batinah organized the visit, which focused on identifying opportunities across vital sectors.

The core of the visit was the Industrial Forum held in Cairo. This event brought together Omani businesspeople and their Egyptian counterparts to discuss potential collaborations in food and pharmaceutical industries, aluminum, shipping and maritime transport, and real estate and industrial development. The forum was held under the patronage of Abdullah Nasser Al Rahbi, Oman's Ambassador to Egypt, who highlighted the importance of direct business interactions.

We hope that the current visit will lead to new economic partnerships that enhance investment integration, particularly in the fields of food and pharmaceutical security and real estate development.

Ambassador Al Rahbi noted that a previous delegation visit about three years prior led to the launch of three investment projects in Oman's Wilayat of Sohar. He expressed optimism that the current visit would foster new economic partnerships and enhance investment integration, particularly in food and pharmaceutical security and real estate development.

Eng. Said Ali Al Abri, head of the Omani delegation, stated the visit's objective was to mutually showcase investment opportunities and provide a platform for business development and expanded commercial cooperation. Egyptian authorities presented available facilities and incentives for investors. The delegation also explored cooperation with the Suez Canal Economic Zone, visited Ein El Sokhna Port, and toured industrial projects, concluding their program with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum.
