Business Growth Depends on Workable Payment Solutions, Reeple CEO Says

For African businesses, payment delays and high foreign-exchange costs can mean losing customers, partners and growth opportunities. Reeple CEO Oluwatomisin Kolawole says the company is building infrastructure to address those problems across borders.

Reeple began with a Nigeria-focused use case, but customer demand quickly pointed to a wider need. Businesses were already paying suppliers, freelancers, staff and partners in different countries, while existing systems often proved slow, expensive and unreliable.

The company now supports payments across more than 50 countries. Its infrastructure covers vendor payments, freelancer payments, business remittances and recurring cross-border transactions. Kolawole said the service helps businesses operate with greater speed, transparency and confidence.

He said reliable payments allow companies to hire talent, serve global clients, enter new markets and reduce concerns about settlement delays or failed transactions. Reeple’s customers operate across Africa, North America, Europe and other international markets, which pushed the company to build for the broader market rather than remain focused only on where it started.

Kolawole also described trust as central to the payments business. Companies rely on payment providers for payroll, supplier relationships, customer commitments and their reputations. Reeple addresses that concern through compliance, transparency, partnerships and execution, he said.
