Butanda seeks to lead Morena's transformation and sovereignty efforts in Michoacán, promises unity

Gladyz Butanda Macías has officially registered to lead the state coordination of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) in Michoacán, signaling a push for unity within the party's ranks.

In her initial address, Butanda Macías declared her intention to "go with our heads held high to defend what we have achieved and build the future of Michoacán." Supported by party members and leaders, she framed her candidacy as a collective project, asserting that "the transformation in Michoacán has already begun, and no one will stop it." She added, "Now it is up to us to consolidate it and build, with strength, the second floor of this movement."

Butanda Macías highlighted the need for a prepared leader who understands the territory and can deliver results. "As a woman, an architect, and a public servant trained in social justice, I know perfectly how to translate our movement's ideals into realities for Michoacán families," she stated. She also stressed her understanding of building peace from its roots, fostering regional development, and maintaining party unity through dialogue and respect for the base.

"It is time for women!" Butanda Macías proclaimed, emphasizing that her candidacy is not merely about gender quotas but represents a "new way of governing with honesty and without leaving anyone behind." She underscored the historic moment, asserting that there will be no turning back from the progress made.
