BYD Car Prices and Models Available in Mexico

BYD has built a growing presence in Mexico with electric and plug-in hybrid cars aimed at different budgets and needs. Autopistas presents five models for buyers considering a new vehicle.

The Dolphin Mini is a fully electric subcompact hatchback with a front motor producing up to 55 kW, 135 Nm of torque and 77 horsepower. It reaches a top speed of 130 km/h and includes a smart operating system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The standard version offers 300 kilometers of range with a 30.08 kWh Blade battery, while the Plus version reaches 380 kilometers with a 38.8 kWh battery.

The electric Sealion 7 combines an aerodynamic, sporty design with a claimed WLTC range of 456 kilometers. It has a top speed of 215 km/h and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Its iTAC system uses intelligent torque adjustments to reduce skidding, and the vehicle also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The fully electric Seal comes in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions. The RWD model uses a 61.44 kWh Blade battery and offers 460 kilometers of range, while the AWD version has an 82.56 kWh battery and a 520-kilometer range. Both can charge from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes. The model uses CTB technology, which integrates the battery with the vehicle body to create a sandwich-like structure.

The King is a hybrid with a 1.5-liter engine, 120 kW of maximum power and 220 Nm of torque. It has a Blade battery of up to 24.57 kWh, combined range of 1,680 kilometers and an ADAS system. The Atto 8 is a plug-in hybrid with 1,030 kilometers of combined range, zero-to-100 km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds, a length of more than five meters and a 16.6-inch touchscreen.
