C&S church names new leader

The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, also known as Ayo Ni O, has appointed Pastor Gabriel Kassim as its new acting spiritual father. The announcement came from the church's Board of Trustees during an extraordinary meeting held on Thursday at His Grace Vicarage in Oyo State. This appointment fills the vacancy left by the death of the former Spiritual Father, Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo.

Pastor Kassim, who currently serves as the Chairman of the church's New York District, will assume his new responsibilities in an acting capacity. The Conference Secretary-General of the church, Anthony Samaye, issued a statement urging all members to provide Kassim with the necessary support, cooperation, and respect as he takes on this significant role. Samaye also called for continued unity in prayer and commitment to the church's work and leadership.

The Board of Trustees officially announced the appointment during their meeting on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The statement confirmed that Most Senior Special Apostle Pastor Gabriel O. Kassim's appointment as Acting Spiritual Father is effective immediately. The church leadership emphasized the importance of remaining committed to the unity of the church and supporting its leaders during this transitional period.

Prophet Emmanuel Alogbo served as the Spiritual Father until his passing on July 30, 2026, at the age of 93. His death marked the end of his tenure, leading to the subsequent appointment of Pastor Kassim.
