Cablebús CDMX to suspend service for annual maintenance; dates announced by line

Mexico City's Cablebús system is set to undergo its annual maintenance, leading to temporary service suspensions across its three lines. The process begins on July 13, with each line closing for several days on a staggered schedule to ensure the safety of the operational systems.

The Red de Transporte Pasajeros (RTP) will offer support services on the affected routes to minimize disruption for commuters. The maintenance schedule is as follows: Line 3, connecting Los Pinos/Constituyentes to Vasco de Quiroga, will be closed from July 13 to July 26. Line 2, running from Constitución de 1917 to Santa Marta, will suspend operations from July 27 to August 9. Finally, Line 1, between Indios Verdes and Cuautepec, will be out of service from August 10 to August 23.

These preventive measures are crucial for a thorough inspection of the cable car's electromecanical systems, cabins, towers, and traction cable. The annual review ensures all components function correctly, guaranteeing the safe operation of this vital public transport in the city.
