Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh road project in Da Lat nears completion after land clearance issues resolved

The final asphalt layers are being laid on the last 100 meters of the Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh road in Da Lat, Vietnam, signaling the imminent completion of the nearly 9-kilometer route. Construction workers and machinery are actively working in the Mang Lin village area, bringing the long-delayed project to its conclusion.

This road, a significant infrastructure undertaking with a total investment of 400 billion VND, traverses two wards in Da Lat and was designed to meet mountain road standards. It aims to enhance the infrastructure network in the city's western and northern sectors. However, the project encountered substantial delays due to difficulties in securing clear land for construction, particularly in areas designated for agricultural use adjacent to the 19 Thang 5 road.

Provincial authorities, led by Deputy Chairman Vo Ngoc Hiep, intervened in late March 2026 after a site inspection. He urged local government and relevant units to expedite compensation and support for residents and to finalize land acquisition. The local government also intensified efforts to persuade remaining households to hand over their land, warning that legal measures would be considered for those who refused.

These decisive actions successfully resolved long-standing disputes, enabling contractors to accelerate work and meet the project's deadline. The completion of the Cam Ly - Phuoc Thanh road is expected to significantly shorten travel times to tourist destinations in northern Da Lat and bring substantial benefits to the region.
