Can Tho to auction four land plots expected to raise more than VND455 billion

Can Tho plans to auction four plots of land for education and training facilities, with combined starting prices exceeding VND455 billion.

The city approved the starting prices on Sept. 4. The largest plot covers 66,332 square meters and has a starting price of more than VND406 billion. A plot of nearly 11,000 square meters is valued at more than VND25 billion, while two smaller plots have starting prices of more than VND17.6 billion and VND7.2 billion.

The smallest site covers more than 2,600 square meters and is designated for a kindergarten. All four plots sit along the extended section of Nguyen Van Cu Street in An Binh Ward. They form part of a list of 23 plots that Can Tho plans to auction in 2026.

The city has assigned its Land Fund Development Center to complete the procedures and organize the auctions in accordance with the law. If the plots have not been successfully auctioned by the end of 2026, the center must report the reasons, propose solutions and recommend a handling plan.

Can Tho said the auctions aim to make effective use of public land, increase local budget revenue, and add funds for public investment and social welfare.
