Canal 13 Announces New LGBT-Themed Miniseries Set in Football World

Chilean broadcaster Canal 13 is set to release its sixth vertical miniseries, "Un corazón como el tuyo" (A Heart Like Yours), which delves into a same-sex romance set against the backdrop of professional football. This new production aims to build on the success of the channel's previous short-form digital content, which has collectively amassed over 150 million views across various platforms.

The narrative centers on Emerson Marcotti, a rising star in the football world whose career is abruptly halted by a heart transplant. Following his recovery, Emerson encounters Lucas Peña, the former partner of the heart donor. A connection begins to form between them, forming the core of the series' romantic plot.

The miniseries is scheduled to premiere in June, accessible through the 13Go application and Canal 13's official social media channels. It follows in the footsteps of other successful short-form dramas produced by the network, including "Enamorada(s)," "Mi boda es una trampa," and "El millonario que quería que lo amaran."

The project, starring actors Lucas Maffei and Nicolás Zambrano, highlights Canal 13's continued investment in digital-first, LGBTQ+-themed content. The focus on a football setting provides a unique environment for exploring themes of love, recovery, and second chances.
