Çankaya kindergartens celebrate graduation with festive ceremony

Çankaya Municipality celebrated the graduation of 515 six-year-old children from 15 kindergartens at a vibrant ceremony held in Ahlatlıbel Atatürk Park. The event marked a significant milestone for the young learners as they transitioned from their early education.

Çankaya Mayor Hüseyin Can Güner attended the festivities, emphasizing the importance of nurturing children not just for the present but for the future. "We are preparing our children not just for today but for tomorrow," Güner stated. He highlighted the municipality's commitment to raising children with "love, security, a sense of equality, and the bright values of our republic." Güner underscored the children's role as the nation's hope and future, stating, "For us, every child is precious." He further elaborated on the vision to cultivate generations loyal to Atatürk's principles and the republic's values, capable of free thought and success in all fields.

The mayor also detailed the municipality's expansion of its kindergarten services. Since taking office, they have opened one new kindergarten and laid the foundation for another, aiming for completion soon. This will increase the total student capacity from 1,700 to 1,900. Innovative programs have been introduced, including a "Night Kindergarten" to support working parents and an "Ecological Kindergarten" where children engage with nature, growing their own produce and learning about wildlife. Complementing these are new children's and baby libraries, further supporting early childhood development and family needs.
