Caribbean Airlines adds daily Toronto–Guyana flights from July 1

Caribbean Airlines is set to significantly boost its capacity on the Toronto-Georgetown route, introducing daily non-stop flights beginning July 1. This expansion is a direct response to increasing demand driven by business, leisure, and family travel between Canada and Guyana.

Varma Khillawan, acting chief executive officer of Caribbean Airlines, described Guyana as one of the airline's most vital and fastest-growing markets. "The introduction of daily Toronto to Georgetown flights reflects our commitment to meeting customer demand and strengthening connectivity between Guyana and North America," Khillawan stated. He added that the enhanced service is designed to cater to passengers traveling for diverse reasons, including business, tourism, education, and visiting family.

The increased flight frequency is also expected to benefit the Guyanese diaspora in Canada and foster greater tourism, trade, and other economic exchanges between the two nations. Under the new schedule, flight BW616 will depart Georgetown daily at 9:20 am, with the return flight, BW617, leaving Toronto at 4:50 pm. Passengers can book tickets through the airline's website, mobile app, reservation center, ticket offices, and travel agents.
