CASI Dominates Hindú, Secures Second Place in Top 14 Rugby

CASI secured a dominant 29-8 victory over Hindú, clinching second place in the Top 14 URBA rugby league and delivering what was arguably their best performance of the year. This win came during their second visit to Hindú's home ground in Don Torcuato, a venue that has historically been challenging for CASI.

Unlike their previous close loss in March, CASI presented a more confident front. Hindú, nursing a three-game losing streak, was expected to be a dangerous opponent. However, CASI's defense proved formidable, shutting down Hindú's forward attacks and delivering "devastating tackles." Hindú's attempts to find openings through the backs were also unsuccessful until the final moments of the match.

CASI's strategy focused on establishing a strong defensive wall to regain possession and then launching powerful attacks. While they struggled to convert penalties in the first half, leading to a narrow 6-3 lead, their dominance in territory and possession suggested more was to come. The team's line-outs functioned well, but the maul was less effective.

The second half saw CASI solidify their control. Facundo Scaiano scored a crucial try, extending the lead. Eugenio Sartori added two more tries, one converted, sealing the victory. Benito Paolucci, a defensive stalwart, praised the team's collective effort, highlighting the performance as potentially the best of the season.
