Celebrities Including SHINee Members Under Police Probe for Illegal Medical Treatments

South Korean celebrities Jun Hyun-moo, SHINee members Key and Onew, and YouTuber 'Short-tempered Haetnim' are being investigated by police for allegedly receiving illegal medical treatments. The investigation, led by the Gangnam Police in Seoul, focuses on an individual referred to as 'Injection Auntie,' who is accused of providing medical services without a domestic license. Police questioned Jun Hyun-moo and Onew in June, followed by Key and 'Short-tempered Haetnim' in early August. Authorities are examining whether the celebrities were aware of the individual's lack of medical credentials when they received treatments, such as IV drips, in locations like apartments and vehicles. The probe into 'Injection Auntie' began after allegations involving broadcaster Park Na-rae, who is also under investigation for receiving similar illegal procedures. 'Injection Auntie' herself faced police questioning in February for allegedly administering IV drips and prescribing antidepressants without a license. Police have since banned her from leaving the country and conducted searches of her residence.
