Çelik criticizes new appointments at CHP Istanbul Provincial Directorate

Özgür Çelik, the newly elected chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Istanbul, has voiced strong objections to recent appointments made by the party's existing provincial executive board. The dispute centers on the appointment of individuals to lead the Women's and Youth branches of the party within the province.

Çelik publicly challenged the legitimacy of these appointments, questioning the authority of the current provincial leadership. "Where do they find this right when even the Istanbul Provincial Chairmanship does not have such an appointment authority?" he asked, highlighting his stance that the executive board overstepped its bounds.
