Champions League: César Blackman features in quarter-final qualifying match

Panamanian footballer César Blackman saw action for Slovan Bratislava in their UEFA Champions League qualifying match against Iberia 1999. The Slovakian club secured a 2-0 victory in the first leg, played in Georgia. The goals for Slovan Bratislava were scored in the first half by Andraz Sporar in the 25th minute and Alasana Yirajang in the 31st minute.

Blackman was substituted into the game in the 65th minute, replacing goal scorer Yirajang. This appearance adds to his minutes in Europe's premier club competition. His compatriot, Cristian Martínez, who recently joined Slovan Bratislava, was not part of the squad that traveled for this match.

With this commanding away win, Slovan Bratislava is in a strong position heading into the second leg. The return match is scheduled to take place in Slovakia on July 29th, where the club will aim to secure their advancement to the group stage of the Champions League.
