Charles Spencer Publishes Book on Sister Diana of Wales

Charles Spencer, the brother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, is set to release a new book offering his personal reflections on his sister's life. Titled "The Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," the book promises to share his unique perspective on the princess's journey.

The writer, historian, and journalist explained his motivation for writing the book, stating his desire to present his own memories and thoughts rather than relying on the accounts of others. Spencer expressed frustration with what he perceives as numerous falsehoods that have become accepted as truth over time regarding his sister's life.

"The Swan Song" is slated for a worldwide release on September 22. In Spain and Latin America, the book will be available a day later, published by Plaza & Janés, part of Penguin Random House. The release comes as the 30th anniversary of Diana's death on August 31, 1977, approaches.

Spencer's decision to write the book stems from a desire to set the record straight, as indicated in statements collected by the publishing group. He aims to portray Diana as a "unique person," sharing his intimate recollections and insights into her life, distinct from public narratives.
