Cheerleader Byun Ha-yul in pain due to worsening back condition

Byun Ha-yul, a popular South Korean cheerleader for the CTBC Brothers' "Passion Sisters" team, has disclosed that her lumbar disc herniation has significantly worsened. The condition is now pressing on her nerves, leading to a loss of sensation in her legs. Doctors have instructed her to refrain from running for two weeks to allow for recovery. Byun Ha-yul described the experience of receiving an injection for her condition as extremely painful, likening the needle to the thickness of chopsticks and feeling as though her back had been "pierced." She humorously called the doctor a "big liar" for downplaying the pain, especially after the anesthetic injection, which she found to be the most excruciating part. The cheerleader expressed feeling both physically and mentally battered by the ordeal. Despite the intense pain and numbness in her legs, Byun Ha-yul remains committed to participating in the upcoming CPBL All-Star Game scheduled for July 18-19 at the Taipei Dome. She also mentioned seeking comfort in fried chicken to cope with her injury.
