Chelsea Sign Forward Melvine Malard from Manchester United

Chelsea has secured the signing of French forward Melvine Malard from Manchester United, agreeing to a four-year contract. The move brings the 26-year-old international to Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season.

Malard arrives at Chelsea after three seasons with Manchester United, where she made 57 appearances and contributed 21 goals. She will be reunited with manager Sonia Bompastor, who previously coached her at Olympique Lyonnais. Bompastor guided Lyon to the Women's Champions League title in 2022.

During her time at Manchester United, Malard helped the club win the Women's FA Cup in her debut season. She joined the club in 2023.

A consistent presence in the French national team, Malard has earned 41 caps and scored 14 international goals. She has represented France at both Euro 2022 and Euro 2025.
