Chevrolet Argentina unveils S10 Trail Boss pickup with enhanced off-road features

Chevrolet has introduced a new iteration of its S10 pickup truck in Argentina, the Trail Boss version, promising superior off-road performance. Unveiled at the AgroActiva event, this model is slated for a July launch and aims to provide a more rugged experience than other S10 variants.

Developed in collaboration with General Motors' high-performance division, the Trail Boss boasts modifications to its suspension and geometry. Andrés Carfagna, Commercial Director for GM Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, stated that these adjustments are calibrated to balance off-road prowess with daily comfort, safety, and efficiency.

The S10 Trail Boss features a unique suspension setup, with front and rear springs and shock absorbers specifically tuned to raise the vehicle's front by 30mm. It will be fitted with 18-inch Scorpion All Terrain tires, a new front grille, and a black gloss rear bumper. Pronounced fender flares and exclusive wheel designs further distinguish its exterior. The interior also receives dedicated design elements for this version.

Under the hood, the pickup is powered by a 2.8L turbodiesel engine delivering 207 horsepower at 3200 rpm and 510 Nm of torque at 200 rpm. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 4x4 system. While specific safety features were highlighted, pricing details for the new Trail Boss model have not yet been released. It joins the existing S10 lineup, which includes High Country, LTZ, and WT trims in single and double cab configurations.
