Chiayi City first in nation to offer real-time property change alerts via smart kiosks

Chiayi City is pioneering a new way to combat real estate fraud with its "Real Estate Change Instant Notification" service, now accessible through smart kiosks. This innovative approach, launched on June 22, allows citizens to apply for the service without needing to visit an office in person, offering a convenient and immediate layer of protection for their property assets.

The city government recognized the growing sophistication of real estate scams, which include identity theft and fraudulent loan applications. To counter these threats, the "Real Estate Change Instant Notification" service was developed. Previously, applying for this service often required a digital certificate or a personal visit to a land administration office. The integration with smart kiosks significantly lowers this barrier, enabling faster and easier access to this crucial anti-fraud measure.

This immediate notification system empowers owners to quickly verify any suspicious activity and report it to the authorities, thereby reducing the risk of impersonation and fraud.

The city aims to enhance its digital governance and inter-agency collaboration to provide more convenient and secure land administration services. All property owners in Chiayi are encouraged to utilize this service to proactively safeguard their assets. The initiative is part of a broader digital transformation in land services that began in 2024, with smart kiosks already offering cross-county services in collaboration with Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, and Taichung.
