Chiayi Starlight Road Race to Feature 'Summer Night Carnival' with Bubbles and Music

The "2026 Chiayi Shuangtan Starlight Road Race" is set to illuminate the night on August 8, promising a "Summer Night Carnival" atmosphere for participants. The city government, in collaboration with organizers, announced the event, which will blend running with elements of light, music, and entertainment. This year's race continues the theme of the original IP character "Starlight Kid," integrating youthful energy, vitality, and technology with a dreamy, bubble-filled ambiance.

Chiayi Mayor Huang Min-hui highlighted that the Shuangtan marathon course has received international certification. The event, scheduled for August 8, is designed to be a festive summer night gathering. It offers three race categories: a 13K challenge, a 6.5K fun run, and a 3.5K experience run. Organizers anticipate drawing over 5,000 runners and encourage families to participate, especially as it falls on Father's Day.
