Chiba Prefecture: Emergency safety alert issued for 12 cities amid heavy rainfall

Chiba Prefecture is facing severe weather conditions as an "Emergency Safety Assurance" has been issued for 12 municipalities due to torrential rainfall. The alert, which urges residents to prioritize their safety, was announced as heavy rain continues to batter the region.

Authorities have issued special warnings for heavy rain and landslides across 18 cities in Chiba. The Japan Meteorological Agency and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism held a joint press conference to detail the severity of the situation.
