Child Dies, Six Injured in Rajasthan School Van Crash

One child died and six others were injured when a private school van collided with a truck parked on the roadside in Banswara city, Rajasthan, on Wednesday morning. The children were traveling to school when the accident occurred.

The impact was so severe that the front of the van was completely mangled. Villagers and passersby rushed to the scene upon hearing cries for help, working to free children trapped inside the vehicle. Personnel from the Raja Talab police station arrived and, with the assistance of local residents, transported the injured children to the district hospital.

According to local reports, one critically injured child received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in an attempt to save him, but he succumbed to his injuries. Doctors at the district hospital stated that some of the injured children are in critical condition and are receiving treatment in the emergency ward. One child with severe injuries has been referred to a hospital in Udaipur for advanced medical care.

Preliminary information indicates that approximately 15 children were in the van at the time of the crash. Initial findings suggest that speeding and driver negligence may have caused the accident. However, police have confirmed that a detailed investigation is ongoing.
