A 38-year-old British man has achieved remarkable financial success by transforming his childhood passion for collecting football cards into a thriving business. Aaron Pearce, who previously worked in the fitness and leisure industry, started selling football cards as a side hustle during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially, Pearce sold individual cards on social media platforms. However, a pivotal moment arrived in 2023 when a friend suggested he try live "Case Break" sessions. In this model, customers purchase slots representing specific teams, and Pearce opens boxes of football cards live, with any cards featuring a player from that team going to the respective customer. His first live break generated over $7,000 in revenue, revealing a significant business opportunity.

Pearce dedicated himself to the venture, working his regular job during the day and live-streaming from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. for two and a half years with minimal breaks. His business experienced rapid growth, with annual revenues climbing from nearly $800,000 in the first full year to over $1.3 million in the second, and reaching approximately $2.7 million in the most recent year.

Reflecting on his success, Pearce stated that leaving his previous job to pursue his passion was the most significant change in his life. He encourages others to follow their dreams, saying, "Many people are stuck in a 9-to-5 job their whole lives, but they have something they truly want to pursue. If you truly love something and are willing to put your heart into it, it can really change your life."
