China's homegrown C919 jetliner has successfully completed its second international commercial flight, landing in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This milestone marks a significant step for the aircraft, demonstrating its readiness for regular international passenger operations.

The flight from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar, tracked by Flightradar24, landed safely after one hour and 41 minutes. It was welcomed with a water-salute ceremony, a traditional acknowledgment of significant aviation events. The C919 is scheduled to replace the Boeing 737 MAX on this route in the coming week.

As of August 10, the C919 had served 57 routes linking 25 cities, carrying over 7.5 million passengers. Comac aims to reach an annual production capacity of 200 aircraft by 2029, supporting its expansion into overseas markets.
