Chinese automaker cuts SUV price for limited time in Argentina

In Argentina's contracting new car sales market, Chery is offering a $1,000 discount on its Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid SUV during a "Chery Super Weekend" event on August 22-23, with a prior offer on August 21. This strategy aims to boost market share amidst sales challenges.

The Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, imported from China, replaces the Tiggo 5 and combines a 1.5L turbocharged engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 147 horsepower. It features a CVT transmission and front-wheel drive. In testing, it achieved an average fuel consumption of 9.8L/100km and a 0-100km/h acceleration in 10.6 seconds.

While lacking advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), the SUV includes six airbags, Isofix anchors, ABS, EBD, stability and traction control, hill start and descent assist, and a tire pressure monitor. For comfort, it offers a panoramic sunroof, electric front seats, remote start and trunk opening, GPS, wireless phone charging, a 360° camera with 3D vision, cruise control, parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, and a Sony audio system. It also features a 12.3-inch configurable instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
