Chinese climber Gexi Luori sets historic double Everest and Lhotse summit record

Gexi Luori, a climber from China, has etched his name in mountaineering history by completing a remarkable double ascent of both Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse within a single climbing season. This unprecedented achievement marks a new chapter in high-altitude expeditions, according to Seven Summit Treks.

Thaneswar Guragain, managing director of Seven Summit Treks, detailed Gexi's climbs. He first summited Everest on May 17, followed by Lhotse the next day. He then ascended Lhotse again on May 25 and reached the Everest summit for the second time on Wednesday, May 27. The interval between his two Everest ascents was a mere nine days, 20 hours, and 15 minutes, establishing a new record.
