Chinese nationals clash in Jeju; one stabbed over group chat expulsion

A late-night dispute between two Chinese nationals in Jeju escalated into a violent stabbing incident, leaving one man injured. Jeju Western Police have arrested a Chinese man, identified only as 'A' in his 30s, on charges of aggravated assault. The incident occurred around 1:02 AM on the 4th in the Nohyeong-dong area of Jeju City.

According to police reports, 'A' allegedly used a knife to attack another Chinese national, 'B', also in his 30s. 'B' sustained a laceration approximately 2 centimeters long. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening. Both men reportedly knew each other prior to the altercation.

Sources indicate that 'A' harbored resentment after being expelled from a group chat. He allegedly carried out the attack in retaliation. At the time of the incident, 'B' was reportedly with a group of companions. Police are currently seeking an arrest warrant for 'A' as the investigation continues into the motive and circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
