Cho Gue-sung leads South Korea attack against El Salvador; Lee Han-beom starts again

South Korea's national football team will field Cho Gue-sung as the sole striker against El Salvador in their final preparatory match. The team, led by coach Hong Myung-bo, is set to play the match at 10 a.m. Korean time on July 4 (7 p.m. local time on July 3) at South Field Stadium at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

This game marks the end of the team's pre-tournament training camp in Salt Lake City, USA. Following the match, the squad will have a recovery session and rest before departing for Guadalajara, Mexico, on a chartered flight on July 5. Center-back Lee Han-beom, who made a notable impact after coming on as a substitute in the previous match against Trinidad and Tobago, has earned another start in the three-back formation.

Midfielder Hwang In-beom, who had been recovering from an injury and played as a substitute in the last game, is set to start in central midfield. He will be partnered by the versatile Lee Jae-sung. The attacking wingers supporting Cho Gue-sung will be Lee Dong-gyeong and Hwang Hee-chan, who also showed active play and scored two goals in the latter half of the Trinidad and Tobago match.
