The Danish club secured their spot with a dominant 4-1 away victory against Croatian side Rijeka in the second leg of their playoff tie, completing a comprehensive 6-1 aggregate win.

Cho entered the match as a substitute in the 57th minute, replacing Stanley Iheanacho when Midtjylland held a 3-1 lead. He sealed the emphatic victory in the 78th minute, heading home a corner kick to make it 4-1. This goal followed his first header of the season, scored in the first leg on August 21st, underscoring his aerial prowess.

The qualification marks a significant achievement for Midtjylland, who will now compete among 36 teams in the UECL group stage. The match also featured a notable clash of Korean talent, with Cho facing off against Rijeka's players.
