CHP Giresun provincial head not appointed, building keys sent to headquarters

The Giresun provincial branch of Turkey's Republican People's Party (CHP) is in a state of disarray following the removal of its former provincial head, Şenyürek, on July 11. Şenyürek has since joined the newly established YENİ Party, signaling a significant shift in local political allegiances.

Today, as of today, we are starting our struggle in Giresun under the leadership of our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, under the roof of the YENİ Party.

Şenyürek announced that the YENİ Party is now officially launching its operations in Giresun under the leadership of its chairman, Özgür Özel. He expressed enthusiasm for this new beginning, stating that his colleagues and the local populace have eagerly awaited the party's arrival. The move signifies a direct challenge to the CHP's established presence in the region.

The YENİ Party, which our colleagues and fellow citizens have been waiting for with impatience and great excitement, is now in Giresun.

Adding to the internal turmoil, Şenyürek revealed that despite the passage of nearly three weeks since his removal, the CHP headquarters has failed to appoint a successor or provide an official point of contact. He stated his intention to return the keys to the provincial building to the CHP headquarters via courier, as there is no designated official to receive them. Şenyürek emphasized that he and his colleagues left the provincial building in the same condition they received it, and they remain committed to their struggle for the people under the YENİ Party banner.
