CHP leader Özgür Özel to visit three cities, focusing on direct citizen contact

Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Özgür Özel is set to embark on a three-day intensive program across Turkey, visiting Istanbul, Gaziantep, and Diyarbakır from June 25 to 27. The visits are designed to bolster the party's presence and connect directly with both party members and the general public.

Özel's itinerary begins in Istanbul on Thursday, June 25, where he is expected to attend a cemevi event commemorating the 10th day of Muharram. The following day, June 26, he will travel to Gaziantep. In this southern city, a key focus will be showing support for the recently dismissed CHP Provincial Chairman and engaging in various other local contacts.

The final leg of his tour on Saturday, June 27, will take him to Diyarbakır in southeastern Turkey. Party officials emphasized that this visit to Diyarbakır was planned long in advance and is not a new decision. Throughout these visits, the CHP leadership intends to prioritize direct citizen engagement over traditional large-scale rallies. Özel plans to meet people in marketplaces and on the streets to hear their concerns firsthand.

These field activities follow the party's internal decision regarding absolute nullity, indicating a strategic push to strengthen ties within the party organization and with voters across different regions.
