CHP Overseas Branches Declare Support for Party Leader Özgür Özel

Overseas branches of Turkey's Republican People's Party (CHP) have publicly declared their support for party leader Özgür Özel amidst internal party discussions. In a joint press statement, the branches emphasized their adherence to the CHP's democratic principles, the will of the organization, and the political choices made by its members.

The statement explicitly rejected the notion of questioning the party congress, describing it as the strongest manifestation of the organization's will. The branches also voiced their opposition to the concept of "absolute nullity," signaling a stance against attempts to invalidate established party decisions or processes.

As overseas branch presidents, they declared their view of the struggle for democracy, law, and public will, led by Özgür Özel, as their own. They firmly expressed their solidarity with the party leader during this period. The statement also highlighted the strong cooperation and solidarity with the Deputy Chairman responsible for Overseas Organizations, Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu, and coordinating deputies, believing it strengthens the party's international representation.
