Chunghwa Telecom launches new 5G plans with 12-month contracts, offering free Google AI and Disney+

Chunghwa Telecom is rolling out new "Fantastic 5G Value-Added Plans" designed to attract more 5G subscribers with flexible, short-term contracts. The new offerings eliminate the need for long-term commitments, focusing instead on providing bundled popular digital services for a 12-month period.

The "Fantastic 5G Value-Added Plans" are available in three tiers: NT$799, NT$999, and NT$1,399 per month, all with a 12-month contract. Depending on the chosen plan, customers can select one from four to six premium services for free throughout their contract. These include Hami Video (sports and drama), KKBOX, Hami Books, YouTube Premium, Disney+ (premium tier), and Google AI Plus (2TB).

For example, the NT$799 plan allows a choice of four services, including YouTube Premium. The NT$999 plan expands the selection to five services, adding Disney+. The highest tier, NT$1,399, offers a choice of six services, including the substantial 2TB Google AI Plus storage. This bundling strategy offers significant savings, with the Google AI Plus 2TB plan alone saving customers NT$3,960 annually, and the Disney+ premium plan saving NT$4,020 per year.

In addition to the bundled services, the plans also feature "more data without more cost." The NT$799 and NT$999 plans each receive an additional 10GB of monthly data, bringing the total to 46GB and 70GB, respectively. The NT$1,399 plan offers unlimited data and an extra 10GB for mobile hotspot sharing, increasing the total hotspot data to 60GB per month. These promotions aim to enhance the value proposition for Chunghwa Telecom's 5G offerings.
