Ciro Immobile Ends Career: Italian Striker Retires from Football at 36

Ciro Immobile, a celebrated Italian striker, has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 36. His last club, French first-division side FC Paris, confirmed his decision, stating that Immobile wished to dedicate more time to his family.

Throughout his career, Immobile established himself as one of Italy's most effective forwards over the past decade. His goal-scoring prowess was recognized when he secured the top scorer title in Italy's Serie A on four separate occasions. A significant achievement in his career was winning the European Championship with the Italian national team in 2021.

Immobile's professional journey saw him play for numerous clubs, accumulating an impressive 350 goals in 656 appearances. He began his career at Sorrento before moving to Juventus. He later played for Genoa, Torino, Borussia Dortmund, and Sevilla. However, he left his most significant mark during his tenure with Lazio, where he played from 2016 to 2024. Towards the end of his career, he also had stints with Beşiktaş, Bologna, and FC Paris.

For the Italian national team, Immobile represented his country in 57 matches, scoring 17 goals. His retirement marks the end of an era for a player known for his clinical finishing and consistent performance on the field.
