CJ CheilJedang, Lotte Chemical partner on advanced packaging materials

CJ CheilJedang and Lotte Chemical have joined forces to develop innovative, high-performance packaging materials designed to enhance consumer convenience and safety. The collaboration leverages CJ CheilJedang's expertise in food packaging research and development with Lotte Chemical's advanced material technology to create synergistic solutions.

The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at CJ Blossom Park in Suwon, South Korea. This partnership focuses on co-developing next-generation packaging materials that can withstand both extreme cold for freezing and high temperatures for cooking. The goal is to reduce packaging damage during frozen storage and distribution while ensuring suitability for microwave cooking.

Through close cooperation from the initial raw material design stages, the companies aim to develop new packaging with enhanced thermal and physical properties, such as improved cold and heat resistance. This will not only bolster the protection of contents but also significantly improve user convenience.
