Speaking at a party event in Clacton, Farage told supporters he had secured more votes than in the 2024 general election, describing it as a "convincing, overwhelming victory."

However, Farage announced he would not attend the official results announcement ceremony due to security concerns. He stated that local police had warned him of a planned "organized campaign" aimed at disrupting the outcome. A spokesperson for his Reform UK party elaborated, telling the BBC that Essex police advised Farage against attending the event because of a "credible threat against him."

Farage recently resigned his parliamentary seat. His political career has been marked by controversy, including scrutiny over donations. The main political parties opted not to field candidates against him in Clacton, leaving the satirical candidate Count Binface as his most prominent opponent.
