The team secured a narrow 1-0 victory against University of Văn Hiến, a match where neither side had significant stakes in the league standings. Đồng Tháp had already guaranteed safety from relegation with 21 points, while University of Văn Hiến remained in the upper half with 25 points. The sole goal came in the 73rd minute from forward Nguyễn Hữu Khôi, his fourth of the season. Despite the win, the team expressed deep regret over leaving Cao Lãnh Stadium. The Mỹ Trà Stadium, commonly known as Cao Lãnh Stadium, located at 140 Lê Duẩn, Mỹ Trà Ward, Đồng Tháp Province, has been put up for public asset auction. CLB Đồng Tháp has not yet confirmed plans to renew its lease or register the stadium as its home ground for the 2026-2027 season, prompting the club's emotional farewell. The stadium, once known as the "Cauldron" for its intimidating heat, typically hosted 2,500 to 3,000 spectators per match, according to VPF.
