CLMI visits Obasanjo ahead of international conference on African trade

Preparations are underway for the 2026 CLMI International Conference & Investiture, which will focus on 'Powering African Trade and Entrepreneurship Through Smart Logistics'. As part of these preparations, the Courier and Logistics Management Institute (CLMI) paid a courtesy visit to former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Obasanjo serves as the chairman for this year's conference. The visit highlighted the strong relationship between CLMI and the former president, who is recognized as one of Africa's most respected statesmen. Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing logistics, trade, and entrepreneurship across the continent.

The CLMI delegation, led by Executive Chairman Prof. Simon Emeje, included Vice Chairman Prof. Chizomam Ann Emeje, Registrar Mr. Kayode Jacobs, and CLMP member Mr. Ogungbayi Amos. During their meeting with Obasanjo, the delegation discussed the conference preparations and exchanged views on the critical role that smart logistics plays in accelerating trade, investment, industrial growth, and overall economic transformation in Africa.
