Cobreloa rescued a draw against Cobresal and remains in the hunt for Copa Chile qualification

Cobreloa secured a crucial 2-2 draw against Cobresal in a heated "miner's classic" at the Estadio El Cobre, keeping their aspirations for the Copa Chile knockout stage alive. The result, however, means their qualification for the round of 16 will be decided on the final matchday.

The home team, Cobresal, took the lead in the 16th minute through Julián Brea. Cobreloa responded quickly, with Gustavo Gotti leveling the score in the 24th minute. Cobresal regained the advantage just before halftime when Benjamín Valenzuela scored in the 40th minute. The final equalizer for Cobreloa came in the second half, with Cristián Muga netting the definitive 2-2.

With this outcome, Deportes Antofagasta has cemented its position at the top of Group C, accumulating 13 points and securing their passage to the next round. Deportes La Serena follows with 7 points, while Cobreloa holds 5 points. Cobresal is now eliminated from contention with only 2 points.
