Colombia's next big tech invention sought in nationwide search

Colombia's vibrant innovation ecosystem is seeking its next groundbreaking invention through the eAwards Colombia 2026, an initiative by NTT DATA designed to propel technological startups with real-world solutions onto the global stage. The program officially opened its application period, offering a significant opportunity for local entrepreneurs to gain financial backing and strategic acceleration.

This prestigious award, now in its 25th year, serves as a vital platform connecting Colombian talent with international markets. It is open to entrepreneurs who have developed advanced prototypes and possess technological proposals with substantial growth potential. Applications are free and can be submitted through the official event portal (globaleawards.com/es/colombia/) until June 30. The program specifically targets solutions addressing critical issues in sectors such as health, environmental sustainability, energy, education, and quality of life improvements.

The national winner will receive a substantial prize of 40 million Colombian pesos in cash, along with immediate access to a personalized business acceleration program. Furthermore, the winning startup will earn a direct spot to represent Colombia in the international final of the Global eAwards, scheduled to take place in Portugal in November. There, they will compete against top innovators from Europe and Latin America for an additional prize of 100,000 euros.
